10 Practical Stress Relieve Tips For Busy People

Accept that stress is unavoidable but manageable.

Knowing this fact has successfully solved 50% of the problem. You can’t avoid stress but you can definitely manage it. Identify the things that cause stress and work on it. Some could be

  • A negative thought pattern
  • not prioritizing your to-do list/ scale of preference.
    This can cause you a whole lot of stress when you are trying to meet deadlines as a result of inadequate planning.
  • Dwelling on the past
  • Lack of money and a profligate lifestyle.
  • holding onto hurt and pain (unforgiveness)
  • lack of adequate sleep, etc.

Learn to jot down things:

Jotting down things has a way of helping you not to forget important details. It will help reduce the stress of exerting unnecessary pressure on your brain. For remembrance sake, jot down your thoughts (ideas), plans and to-do list.

Exercise

Exercise is any physical activity intended to improve strength and fitness. The following are the benefit of exercise.

  • Regular exercise keeps the body fit.
  • It helps the body, mind and soul function properly
  • It aids weight loss
  • It helps burn fats and cholesterol
  • Regular exercise helps the brain to work properly and sharply.
  • It reduces chance of heart attack or chronic disease
  • Exercise reduces stress, anxiety or worry
  • Helps improve one’s self-confidence.
  • Regular exercise helps you to sleep and relax happily.

Have a positive mindset

A positive mindset is as important as daybreak. When you have a positive mindset stress is drastically reduced. Reason being that your belief system is programmed and activated to know that all expectations have a time of manifestations. (Ecclesiastics 12:1) Your faith is holding strong, you believe that all attainments can be attained through the invincible power that governs the universe.
The positive mindset is the ‘YES-I-CAN’ mindset and nothing can thwart or derail such a mindset.

Listen to good music:

Music has a way of calming the nerves. It has a positive effect on the human brain, body, and soul. It reduces pressure. Listen to classical music and if you are not a fan, go with the genre that soothes you. As long as the aim is achieved you are good to go.

Eat healthy food and not junks:

Eating healthy helps the body to grow well. A food that contains the six classes of food in the right proportion adds more nutrient and value to your body than junks. Reduce the intake of flour, sugar and salt, they are poison to your health and body.

Laugh more:

Frowning causes wrinkles to the face, it takes less muscle to smile and laugh than frowning. Laughing more helps the tensed muscle to relax.

Hobbies:

Do the things that make you happy Your hobby is a great mechanism for the reduction of stress. Some hobbies are
Travelling
Reading a book
Seeing a movie
Cooking
Dancing
Sleeping
Listening to music
Writing stories, poems, or articles etc.
Whatever your hobbies are apart from the ones listed above, kindly indulge in them for they beautify your soul.

Go on a date with friends:

When you are stressed you can hang out with friends. Go watch a movie, go to the beach, go have fun with them, go on a date, go skiing, go mountain climbing, go do something to ensure you are out of the stress zone. Doing this will definitely relieve you of the stress of living.

A step at a time:

Learn to take a step at a time. No point rushing or worrying. In life, we are all running a different race. We might be in the same lane, but not heading in the same direction.
Don’t multitask, if you do, you are prone to errors, and that is bad for business. Finish that project before moving onto the next.

Go on vacation:

Yes, go on vaaa-caaaa-tiiioooon. Yes, you are permitted to. You deserve it. You worked for it, therefore, you have earned it. Going on vacation will help relieve you of stress, anxiety, worry and tension. Trust me it will refresh your mind, spirit, soul and body.
